Standing outside Moto Techniques unassuming premises in West Molesey Surrey, no one could guess what lies inside for here is one of the worlds most respected specialist repairers of exotic sports cars. A peep in side reveals a treasure trove of exotica, projects emanating from all quarters of the globe, Asia, America and Europe, from all manner of Ferraris through to Gull wing Mercedes, Lamborghinis and British classics the accent is on the service, repair and restoration of sports cars all the time pushing the boundaries of repair techniques service and quality.

The first clue comes from the reception area home to a photo montage depicting the conservation of a Ferrari 250 GTO, with this project Mototechnique’s boss Kevin O’Rourke harnessed the power of the Internet and hosted on his web site the detailed step by step restoration of this most significant icon, millions of enthusiasts logged on to follow the progress and the resulting restoration won the highest award in the historic sports car  world.

But it would be wrong to think that Mototechnique are stuck in the past, a trip around the workshop reveals the latest state of the art equipment such as a Digital scanning system  used in high tech chassis repairs. Carbon fibre / Kevlar repairs being carried out under vacuum on Ferrari F40s’ F50s’ and McClaren super cars, Whilst visiting we witnessed the sophisticated repair of a Ferrari 430 Scuderia  whose chassis and bodywork are made from Alloy using the latest manufacturing techniques.

All in all Kevin O’Rourke and his capable and highly skilled  staff have to be the first choice when peace of mind and  and confidence in the repair process are required..
